Final
Blog Post
Blog, blog, blog,
blog… It seems that this has been the central focus of my WRA 150 class for the
entire semester. Now that it is finished I find myself in a strange place, the
beginning of the end. This project has taught me much, not only about my field,
Human Biology, but myself. This blog has helped prepare me to work in my field,
and taught me beliefs,
ethics, and rhetoric necessary for success in my field, and I will now
demonstrate how it did these things.
Beliefs, ethics, and rhetoric,
three strange accumulations of letter of which by in large contain the relative
same definition. Why are these words important? They are important because they
institute the fact of higher learning, and this is important because this is my
path. This is all of our paths. We search for meaning understanding, and
knowledge in this project. I have found it, have you?
The Belief of a Human Biology major is just
that, life. They believe in maintaining and preserving as well as exploring and
discovering wonderful new things with in the human body. They hold themselves
to a high moral code set by Hippocrates, father of modern medicine, in the Law
of Hippocrates. This states core values of preservation and growth of human
life. Human Biology rhetoric is that of the highest level. It includes some of
the most important documents in the world, such as the journal on penicillin
and new and exciting documentation being done to combat cancer. All while being
presented in a professional and prompt way.
During this
project I have learned many things, but what does that mean, and why is it
important. This means that I have opened my self to a new way of learning,
which is one that is research, post, and repeat. In my prior life experiences I
have never had to do so much research on one single topic. This process of
research, post, and repeat was somewhat difficult for me because of the time
and effort that was put into every post, then the process was to be repeated
again. The process was quite overwhelming. This fact was my biggest struggle
within the project, but I also found that finding and citing information was
quite a challenge. This is because often times research is incorrect, or needs
to be double checked. The fact that I was so unfamiliar with the citing process
caused my problems with citing, this was a challenge but I enjoyed learning the
technique of creating the citation.
Now that I have
talked about the struggles and problems that the blog project presented me
with, I would like to talk about how I feel that I did well in this project. I
feel that I succeed in learning a plethora of new and exciting information
about my field of Human Biology. I learned so many interesting things about
what doctors learn, how they learn, and where they learn. I have also learned
interesting effects of new medical products such as physio-tape. I also feel
that I have become a better writer because of this project. It has opened my
mind to new ways of writing and new writing styles.
In conclusion I
have learned many new things. This project has opened my mind to new ideas, and
concepts, It has not been easy as I have encountered challenges, but I have
also been able to overcome them and excel in their midst’s. This project was a
great learning experience, and look forward to doing it again.
